Project-Based Learning
At TLC, students engage in hands-on, real-world projects that build critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Each project is thoughtfully designed to integrate academic skills with meaningful problem-solving, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning and apply it in practical, purposeful ways.
Social-Emotional Learning
We believe learning happens best in a supportive, connected environment. Our program includes intentional practices like daily check-ins and group reflections to help students build self-awareness, empathy, and strong communication skills—while also forming meaningful friendships and a strong sense of community.
Integrated Subjects
Our projects integrate Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies in engaging, purposeful ways. Each learning experience is aligned to the California Common Core Standards. Through themed, real-world projects, students deepen their understanding while practicing research, writing, and collaboration.
Parent Partnership
We work alongside families by offering curriculum guidance, consistent communication, and involvement opportunities that keep parents informed and empowered. This partnership helps create a seamless connection between home and the learning experiences The Learning Canvas offers.
